Step 1 – Prep
Undo all the straps so your footbed is exposed. Grab a slightly damp cloth and remove any excess dirt and residue from your Birkenstocks. Be sure to wipe down the footbed, underneath the toe piece, and around the cork edge. Gently remove excess dirt from the cork using the suede brush.
Step 2 – Cleaning the footbed
Using the suede shampoo, lightly spritz the footbed. Take your suede brush, and using the brush end, work the shampoo in to all the nooks. Once complete, wipe away with another slightly damp cloth. Leave to dry before wearing.
Step 3 – Refresh the cork
Gently shake your Kelly’s Cork Renew bottle. The bottle comes with a brush applicator inside the lid. Carefully paint the cork renew on to the cork edge of your Birkenstock. This will go on white but dry clear. If you get any on the shoe, wipe away with a damp cloth before it dries.
Tip:
Don’t leave your Birkenstocks in a hot car! The resin tends to relax when they come in contact with heat, causing them to shrink in size and bend, which can cause them not to fit correctly.
